This set pairs pale blue aquamarine with jet-black obsidian — one light, one dark, designed to be worn together or split between two people. Both strands are strung on a strong elastic core and separated by 925 sterling silver spacers, so the metal that touches your skin is sterling, not plated brass.

What you receive

  • Stones: Natural aquamarine and black obsidian
  • Metal: 925 sterling silver spacers
  • Bead size: 8 mm
  • Length: Approx. 17–18 cm (6.7–7.1 in), elastic
  • Set: Two bracelets

About aquamarine and obsidian

Aquamarine is a blue variety of beryl, the same mineral family as emerald. Its colour ranges from pale ice-blue to a deeper sea-blue, and it measures 7.5–8 on the Mohs scale, which makes it durable enough for daily wear. Obsidian is volcanic glass, formed when lava cools so quickly that no crystals have time to grow.

Fit and sizing

Each bracelet is strung on elastic and measures approximately 17–18 cm (6.7–7.1 in) unstretched, which fits most wrists. Because the core is elastic, the bracelet rolls on without a clasp. If you need a specific length, message us before ordering and we will confirm availability.

Care

Wipe the beads with a soft dry cloth. Keep the bracelet away from perfume, hairspray and chlorinated water, and store it flat rather than hanging, so the elastic does not stretch between wears. Sterling silver spacers may darken over time; a silver polishing cloth restores their shine.

Shipping and returns

Orders over $70 ship free. We accept returns within 30 days of delivery on unworn pieces in their original packaging.

Common questions

Is the aquamarine natural, and is it treated?

Both stones are natural. Aquamarine is routinely heat-treated in the trade to remove a green cast, and most blue aquamarine sold today has been heated — heating is permanent and is accepted practice, not a coating. The obsidian is volcanic glass and is not treated at all. If you need fully untreated aquamarine, email us before ordering and we will tell you what is in stock.

Will an 8 mm bracelet fit my wrist?

Each bracelet measures about 17–18 cm (6.7–7.1 in) unstretched on 8 mm beads, which suits wrists from roughly 14.5 to 19 cm. There is no clasp to adjust — the elastic core lets it roll on. If your wrist measures outside that range, message us before ordering.

Is the silver solid or plated?

Solid 925 sterling silver spacers. Sterling is 92.5% silver, so the metal runs all the way through and can be polished back to brightness. Plated brass wears through to a yellow base layer within months of daily wear.

Can I wear the set in water?

Occasional hand-washing is fine. Take it off for swimming, hot tubs and chlorinated showers — chlorine dulls the silver and etches the obsidian polish over time.

How long does delivery take?

Orders are processed in 1–3 business days from our Shenzhen studio. Standard delivery to the US takes 10–20 business days and costs $8; shipping is free on orders over $70. Express delivery is $15. A tracking number is emailed once the parcel is handed to the carrier.

About this piece

What exactly is this piece made from?

Natural gemstone. Every piece is inspected by hand before it ships. Treatments that are standard in the trade — heat-treated amethyst sold as citrine is the classic example — are explained in our material & treatment guide.

What should I know before ordering?

Each piece is assembled from natural stone, so colour, pattern and exact dimensions vary slightly from the photographs. The specification table above lists what is measured for this piece.

Can I wear it every day, or in water?

The stone itself is not harmed by a splash, but removing it before showering, swimming, sauna or the gym is the single easiest way to make it last. Chlorine and salt water attack elastic over time, and repeated flexing is what eventually wears any cord out.

How should I care for it?

Roll it on rather than stretching it over your hand, wipe it with a soft dry cloth after wearing, and keep it away from perfume and chlorine. Store it flat in the pouch provided, out of direct sun. See our crystal care guide.
