Amethyst kept deliberately simple. The beads are uniform, the colour is consistent, and the elastic core means it can be put on one-handed.

About amethyst

Amethyst is quartz coloured purple by iron and natural irradiation in the ground. Hardness is 7, the same as clear quartz. Pale material is routinely heat-treated to deepen the purple, and the deepest tones come from Uruguayan and Zambian rough; prolonged direct sunlight can fade the colour over years.

Fit and sizing

It is a single loop, elastic bracelet on elastic with no clasp, and fits approx. 15-18 cm (5.9-7.1 in) wrist. Because the core is elastic it rolls on over the hand, so there is nothing to fasten one-handed. If you need a specific length, message us before ordering and we will tell you what is in stock.

Care

Wipe with a soft damp cloth and store away from direct sun, which fades amethyst faster than most quartz varieties. Avoid sudden heat.

Shipping and returns

Orders are processed in 1-3 business days from our Shenzhen studio. Standard delivery to the US takes 10-20 business days and costs $8; shipping is free on orders over $70. Express delivery is $15. A tracking number is emailed once the parcel is handed to the carrier. Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery on unworn pieces in their original packaging.

Common questions

What is amethyst?

Amethyst is quartz coloured purple by iron and natural irradiation in the ground. Purple is natural; pale rough is often heat-treated to deepen the tone, which is stable.

What wrist size does this bracelet fit?

It is strung on elastic with no clasp and measures about 15 to 18 cm (5.9 to 7.1 in) of inner circumference, which fits most adult wrists. If your wrist is outside that range, message us before ordering and we will tell you what we can do with the stock on hand.

Can I wear it in the shower or to swim?

Take it off first. Repeated soaking weakens the elastic core faster than wear does, and chlorine and salt leave a film on the bead surface that dulls it. A splash is fine; a daily shower is not.

What happens if the elastic breaks?

It can be restrung. The cord is a standard 0.8 mm elastic, and any jeweller can replace it in a few minutes. Message us and we will tell you the cord diameter and bead count so the repair matches.

About this piece

What exactly is this piece made from?

Natural gemstone. Every piece is inspected by hand before it ships. Treatments that are standard in the trade — heat-treated amethyst sold as citrine is the classic example — are explained in our material & treatment guide.

What should I know before ordering?

Each piece is assembled from natural stone, so colour, pattern and exact dimensions vary slightly from the photographs. The specification table above lists what is measured for this piece.

Can I wear it every day, or in water?

The stone itself is not harmed by a splash, but removing it before showering, swimming, sauna or the gym is the single easiest way to make it last. Chlorine and salt water attack elastic over time, and repeated flexing is what eventually wears any cord out.

How should I care for it?

Roll it on rather than stretching it over your hand, wipe it with a soft dry cloth after wearing, and keep it away from perfume and chlorine. Store it flat in the pouch provided, out of direct sun. See our crystal care guide.

Crystal meanings described on this page come from tradition, not from medicine. Nothing here is medical advice.
