Citrine cut to a consistent size and strung so the line stays even on the wrist. There is no charm and no drop bead, which keeps the silhouette clean and lets the colour do the work.

About citrine

Citrine is quartz whose yellow to amber colour comes from iron inside the crystal lattice, together with natural irradiation that shifts the iron into a colour centre. Gem-quality natural citrine is uncommon; most yellow quartz on the market, including nearly all the deep amber material, is amethyst that has been heated to about 450 to 500 degrees Celsius, which converts the purple colour centre to yellow. That treatment is stable and accepted in the trade, but the colour can fade if the piece is left in direct sun for long periods. Hardness is 7 on the Mohs scale.

Fit and sizing

It is a single loop, elastic bracelet on elastic with no clasp, and fits approx. 15-18 cm (5.9-7.1 in) wrist. Because the core is elastic it rolls on over the hand, so there is nothing to fasten one-handed. If you need a specific length, message us before ordering and we will tell you what is in stock.

Care

Wipe with a soft dry cloth. Store away from direct sunlight and heat, because heat-treated colour is not permanent under prolonged UV exposure. Avoid ultrasonic cleaners if the piece is set in silver with glued elements.

Shipping and returns

Orders are processed in 1-3 business days from our Shenzhen studio. Standard delivery to the US takes 10-20 business days and costs $8; shipping is free on orders over $70. Express delivery is $15. A tracking number is emailed once the parcel is handed to the carrier. Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery on unworn pieces in their original packaging.

Common questions

What is citrine?

Citrine is quartz whose yellow to amber colour comes from iron inside the crystal lattice, together with natural irradiation that shifts the iron into a colour centre. Most commercial citrine is heat-treated amethyst; natural unheated citrine is rarer and paler.

What wrist size does this bracelet fit?

It is strung on elastic with no clasp and measures about 15 to 18 cm (5.9 to 7.1 in) of inner circumference, which fits most adult wrists. If your wrist is outside that range, message us before ordering and we will tell you what we can do with the stock on hand.

Can I wear it in the shower or to swim?

Take it off first. Repeated soaking weakens the elastic core faster than wear does, and chlorine and salt leave a film on the bead surface that dulls it. A splash is fine; a daily shower is not.

What happens if the elastic breaks?

It can be restrung. The cord is a standard 0.8 mm elastic, and any jeweller can replace it in a few minutes. Message us and we will tell you the cord diameter and bead count so the repair matches.

Is the silver real 925?

Yes. The metal parts are stamped 925 sterling silver, which is 92.5 percent silver alloyed with copper for hardness. It will tarnish over time, and a silver cloth brings it back.

About this piece

What exactly is this piece made from?

Natural gemstone. Every piece is inspected by hand before it ships. Treatments that are standard in the trade — heat-treated amethyst sold as citrine is the classic example — are explained in our material & treatment guide.

What should I know before ordering?

Each piece is assembled from natural stone, so colour, pattern and exact dimensions vary slightly from the photographs. The specification table above lists what is measured for this piece.

Can I wear it every day, or in water?

The stone itself is not harmed by a splash, but removing it before showering, swimming, sauna or the gym is the single easiest way to make it last. Chlorine and salt water attack elastic over time, and repeated flexing is what eventually wears any cord out.

How should I care for it?

Roll it on rather than stretching it over your hand, wipe it with a soft dry cloth after wearing, and keep it away from perfume and chlorine. Store it flat in the pouch provided, out of direct sun. See our crystal care guide.
