These are small garnet rounds — 4 mm — strung long enough to wrap three or four times around the wrist. In low light the beads read nearly black; hold the bracelet up and the red comes through. That shift is the reason garnet works as an everyday stone rather than a bright accent.

What you receive

  • Stone: Natural garnet
  • Bead size: 4 mm
  • Length: Approx. 55–60 cm (21.6–23.6 in), multi-wrap
  • Core: Elastic, no clasp

About garnet

Garnet is a group of silicate minerals rather than a single stone; the deep red jewellery grade is usually almandine or pyrope. It measures 6.5–7.5 on the Mohs scale. Garnet is the birthstone for January.

Fit and sizing

The strand is a long multi-wrap, approximately 55–60 cm (21.6–23.6 in) total, so it adapts to most wrists by adding or removing a wrap. No clasp — it is held by tension. On a 15 cm wrist it wraps four times; on an 18 cm wrist, three.

Care

Garnet is reasonably hard but brittle, so avoid knocks against hard surfaces. Clean with warm water and mild soap, dry fully, and store flat. Because the strand is long and thin, keep it away from anything that could snag the elastic.

Common questions

Why are the beads only 4 mm?

Because the strand has to wrap three or four times to reach 55–60 cm (21.6–23.6 in). Larger beads would make the same length heavy and stiff, and it would no longer sit close to the wrist in layers.

Is garnet natural, and is it treated?

Natural. Garnet is a group of silicate minerals rather than a single stone; the deep red jewellery grade is usually almandine or pyrope. It is not commonly heated or dyed, because the colour is intrinsic to the mineral and stable.

Is garnet a birthstone?

Yes — garnet is the traditional birthstone for January, and it is also the stone for a second wedding anniversary.

How do I wear a multi-wrap without gaps?

Wrap it three times and tuck the slack under the last pass rather than stretching the strand tight. Elastic holds its length better when it is not under constant tension, and the layers sit flat.

How long does delivery take?

Orders are processed in 1–3 business days from our Shenzhen studio. Standard delivery to the US takes 10–20 business days and costs $8; shipping is free on orders over $70. Express delivery is $15. A tracking number is emailed once the parcel is handed to the carrier.

About this piece

What exactly is this piece made from?

Natural gemstone. Every piece is inspected by hand before it ships. Treatments that are standard in the trade — heat-treated amethyst sold as citrine is the classic example — are explained in our material & treatment guide.

What should I know before ordering?

Each piece is assembled from natural stone, so colour, pattern and exact dimensions vary slightly from the photographs. The specification table above lists what is measured for this piece.

Can I wear it every day, or in water?

The stone itself is not harmed by a splash, but removing it before showering, swimming, sauna or the gym is the single easiest way to make it last. Chlorine and salt water attack elastic over time, and repeated flexing is what eventually wears any cord out.

How should I care for it?

Roll it on rather than stretching it over your hand, wipe it with a soft dry cloth after wearing, and keep it away from perfume and chlorine. Store it flat in the pouch provided, out of direct sun. See our crystal care guide.
