Most clear quartz on the market carries a visible milky haze or internal fractures. This strand is graded full-clear, meaning the beads are transparent enough to read text through, with only the faintest internal lines. That grade is why the polish looks glassy rather than cloudy.

What you receive

  • Stone: Natural clear quartz, full-clear grade
  • Bead size: 8 mm
  • Length: Approx. 17 cm (6.7 in), elastic
  • Finish: High polish

About clear quartz

Clear quartz — also called rock crystal — is silicon dioxide with no colouring elements, which is why it reads as transparent rather than tinted. It measures 7 on the Mohs scale and takes a high polish, which is what gives the beads their glassy surface.

Fit and sizing

Approximately 17 cm (6.7 in) unstretched on an elastic core, sized for an average wrist. Bead diameter is 8 mm. For a wrist under 15 cm or over 19 cm, message us first so we can confirm the right length.

Care

Clear quartz shows fingerprints more than coloured stones, so a quick wipe with a microfibre cloth before wearing makes the biggest difference. Wash with lukewarm water and mild soap if needed, then dry fully. Store separately from harder stones to avoid surface scratches.

Shipping and returns

Free shipping over $70. Returns within 30 days on unworn pieces in original packaging.

Common questions

What does 5A mean for clear quartz?

5A is a trade grade, not a certification or an industry standard. It describes how free a bead is of internal fractures and milky haze, and how even the polish is. Graders differ, so the fair comparison is the photos rather than the letters.

Is clear quartz treated?

Colourless rock crystal is normally sold untreated. It has nothing to gain from heating or irradiation, which are used to shift colour in amethyst, citrine and smoky quartz.

Does clear quartz scratch?

Quartz measures 7 on the Mohs scale — harder than glass and most metals, softer than sapphire or diamond. It resists daily wear; keep it in a pouch rather than loose in a bag with other jewellery.

How do I keep it looking clear?

Clear quartz shows fingerprints more than any other stone because light passes straight through it. A microfibre cloth removes smudges. Skip ultrasonic cleaners when the strand is elastic.

How long does delivery take?

Orders are processed in 1–3 business days from our Shenzhen studio. Standard delivery to the US takes 10–20 business days and costs $8; shipping is free on orders over $70. Express delivery is $15. A tracking number is emailed once the parcel is handed to the carrier.

About this piece

What exactly is this piece made from?

Natural gemstone. Every piece is inspected by hand before it ships. Treatments that are standard in the trade — heat-treated amethyst sold as citrine is the classic example — are explained in our material & treatment guide.

What should I know before ordering?

Each piece is assembled from natural stone, so colour, pattern and exact dimensions vary slightly from the photographs. The specification table above lists what is measured for this piece.

Can I wear it every day, or in water?

The stone itself is not harmed by a splash, but removing it before showering, swimming, sauna or the gym is the single easiest way to make it last. Chlorine and salt water attack elastic over time, and repeated flexing is what eventually wears any cord out.

How should I care for it?

Roll it on rather than stretching it over your hand, wipe it with a soft dry cloth after wearing, and keep it away from perfume and chlorine. Store it flat in the pouch provided, out of direct sun. See our crystal care guide.
